For 33 year old Toni, paraplegia is a word, not a condition. "I take care of my kids, I clean my own house, wash my dishes, and put myself in the bathtub. I do everything. I sweep, mop and vacuum." On February, 19, 2011, Toni was shot 5 times by her ex-boyfriend, who then turned the gun on himself. The shooting resulted in his death and left Toni as a paraplegic. The mother of an 8 year old daughter and a 1 year old son, shared her story.
